What was that about a whole engagement?
When we realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, we decided that we would propose to each other. Doing so was a meaningful symbol of the equality in our relationship, and our commitment to one another. An engagement should represent two halves of a never-ending circle, with both parties acting openly and actively in the process.
Since the element of surprise is a vital part of any engagement story, we decided on a time frame during which we would each plan to propose. Neither one of us knew what the other was planning, or when the event would occur.
To commence our dual engagement story, we made each others’ rings at a wedding ring workshop, and then each took the ring we made, hid it, and started hatching plans.
